Day 2

This morning my family will be heading back to the US. Hopefully weather doesn’t affect their flight and they all make it home on schedule.

Since I know that I need to order food at least an hour before I want it, I’ve already asked for a sweet roll and fruit plate to be delivered. There are tons of interesting options on the menu, however hot items will no longer be hot by the time they get here so I lean toward things that are good cold or room temp.

I have an espresso machine in the room and they’ve included a box of extra pods since they won’t enter my room for any reason no longer how long my quarantine lasts. I’m well stocked for 5-7 days.

There is no way for me to leave the room (there is “Purely Palace” tape on the door indicating not to open it so that housekeeping remains safe).

But I have a beautiful, big screened porch and a large, cushioned double-lounger where I am enjoying my coffee.
Since housekeeping can’t enter, I was given red ☣️ bags for dirty linens and towels to set outside (I hope to not be here long enough to need those) and lots of disinfecting and cleaning supplies including gloves, sponges, and microfiber cloths.

I can’t imagine that a product called “Chembreze” would sell well in the US…? 😷
When you’re feeling congested or have a cough, a humidifier helps. See? They have literally thought of everything.

TRAVEL TIP: Today I wish I had those little packets of Tide that you can get at Target in the bins of travel-size stuff. I have a clothesline but will need to use bar soap if I have to wash clothes.
